Thank you for visiting our website and let me introduce myself, my name is Steven Brough and I am the owner and founder of Clarity Law.
I founded this practice in 2001 after working for a decade before that in other firms with the belief that I could provide clients with the best possible legal advice on criminal law matters and the best service clients have ever received from a law firm but at a reasonable cost. For the past 12 years with Clarity Law I am pleased that we have been able to achieve this.
Steven's Traffic Law Experience
I have appeared thousands of times since 2001 in courts throughout Queensland assisting clients in all manner of criminal law matters. There is virtually no aspect of Queensland criminal law that I have not represented clients before the courts in. I am one of the most experienced criminal lawyers in Queensland. I am proud of the record of success I have been able to achieve for clients and their families. I am also very proud of the trust and appreciation all my clients have shown to me.
Jack has a Bachelor of Laws from Central Queensland University and has a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology.Jack has practiced in Crime and Traffic Law since early 2022, representing clients on a range of offences, including drink and drug driving, possession and production of dangerous drugs, fraud/dishonesty offences, stealing and assaults. Jack has also practised in civil law in a wills and estate focussed firm.
Russell holds a Juris Doctor from Bond University and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Russell works in all areas of criminal and traffic law. He has appeared in Magistrates Courts across South East Queensland, at both trials and sentencings. He has also represented clients in the District and Supreme Courts. Russell is a passionate defence advocate and works hard to ensure his clients get the best possible outcome.
My name is Belinda Smyth and I am an owner and office manager at Clarity Law.
I have worked in the legal industry for the past 19 years. The legal firms I have worked in have ranged from large firms undertaking work in all areas to smaller firms specialising in one area. I have held almost all positions from office junior and paralegal to office manager. I have also worked in the Public Service in Canberra in the Legal Services Commission and am also a Justice of the Peace.
Jacob has been practising criminal and traffic law for almost eight years. He has represented clients for a wide range of matters, including DVO breaches, drugs, assaults, sexual offences, home invasions, armed robberies, frauds, DUIs, police evasions, regulatory offences, and all traffic applications. He has represented clients in the Supreme, District, and Magistrates Courts.
